Barbie's Sears Mad About Plaid outfit is complete and in excellent condition for display.  This Sears Exclusive includes a red plaid coat with two green buttons and snap closure, a matching dress with a green vinyl tie belt and two snaps in the back, the hard to find red fuzzy hat, a matching purse with a green vinyl flap and a gold bead, a pair of red pilgrim shoes, and a red Barbie filigree hanger.  The green vinyl belt on the dress has some loose thread at the tie creases.  I can find nothing else wrong with the outfit.  Although not perfect, this an excellent example of the complete set.

Okay, now Talking Barbie has her flaws, the first of which is her swimsuit is holding her legs on.  I had full intentions of fixing them, but never got around to it.  Her knees do click as they should.  The second is that her pull cord works, but she only squawks, so I would say she is mute.  Her arms are secure but not frozen.  There is a pin prick at the back of each thigh, but other than needing some cleaning, I don't see any other major flaws on her Mexico body.  She has all of her eyelashes and face paint, and no missing hair plugs.  No earring holes and no green marks anywhere that I see.  I have never removed her swimsuit, which is in excellent condition, but I don't think there are any surprises under there.  Mainly, she is a display doll to go with the Mad About Plaid outfit.
