Barbie's Sears Exclusive Perfectly Plaid Gift Set is complete with a 1971 center-eyed Talking Barbie #1115 in her original swimsuit.  The outfit includes a red plaid jumpsuit with a red nylon tricot bodice which closes in the back with a single snap, the matching plaid coat with a white faux fur collar and Barbie tag, a white faux fur hat, a white vinyl clutch purse (unique to this outfit), and Japan red squishy flats. A white Barbie filigree hanger completes the set.

Barbie is in excellent condition with moving arms and legs securely attached.  She has her pull string, but does not talk.  Her knees click as they should.  No earring holes and no green or melt marks anywhere that I see.  I have never removed her swimsuit, but I don't think there are any surprises under there.  Her face is a slightly darker shade than her body.  She has full eyelashes and all of her face paint.  Her hair is all original, and I see no missing plugs.  The waist of her swimsuit is stretched, but certainly stays on.  The top is excellent.  The mesh cover-up has a few stray gold threads, but no holes, and the buttons are both present.

The outfit is not mint, but displays well.  The fur is a little nappy, but clean.  The weave of the jumpsuit bottoms is loose or missing a few threads in the waist area.  All closures and seams are intact.  In my opinion, a really nice set.
